This statement applies to the provision of products and services to you by Tesla Motors Sales Service (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and its affiliates in China ("we").

 

Privacy protection from day one

When delivered from your vehicle, privacy protection is instantly on. In general, we do not associate vehicle data generated by driving behavior with your identity or account. Therefore, no one other than you can know your driving behavior. Your other activities in the cabin are also protected. The infotainment data we collect (such as voice commands, browsing the web through the touch screen, etc.) will not be associated with your identity information or account, fully ensuring the privacy and security of your information.

 

Its purpose is to provide basic auxiliary driving functions, as well as advanced functions such as intelligent calling and automatic parking. This system is embedded with the concept of privacy protection from the beginning of its design. Autopilot automated driving assistance data from the camera suite is processed locally in the vehicle by default to identify lane lines, street signs, traffic light locations, etc. In accordance with local laws, only when you turn on data sharing, the content recorded by the camera will be transmitted and shared for team learning. You can turn data sharing on or off at any time via the vehicle's touch screen. Even if you choose to turn on data sharing, the content recorded by the camera will be transmitted anonymously and will not be associated with you or your vehicle unless a safety event occurs (such as a collision, airbag ejection, or automatic emergency braking event).

In addition, energy products such as Powerwall and Solar Roof solar roofs are also designed with privacy protection. Our goal is to collect as little personal data as possible, limited to the information necessary for the normal use of the application, the provision of services to you, and the improvement of your energy products. We also promise to share your personal data only when it is necessary to operate or maintain your products, otherwise we will first obtain your consent.
